Pune District Co-operative Housing Societies and Apartments Federation has been rendering various services in promoting co-operative housing in the city of Pune and surrounding areas. Gradually, its field of services is extending in several sections.
The following are the services rendered by the Federation:
- Guidance to members of the public regarding formation of new cooperative housing societies and assistance in submitting registration proposals.
- Supply of various forms and model by-laws required for formation of cooperative housing societies.
- Guidance to Chief Promoters regarding the first general meeting and conducting related proceedings.
- Guidance to Provisional Committee members for conducting meetings and maintaining proceedings.
- Supply of forms, registers and account books required by cooperative housing societies with guidance for maintaining the same.
- Guidance to cooperative housing societies regarding Municipal Taxes, Local Taxes, Income Tax and other related matters.
- Providing Federation representative for attending General Body Meetings of societies on written invitation.
- Guidance for preparation of proposals related to amendments in society by-laws.
- Guidance regarding Maharashtra Cooperative Societies Act, Rules, society by-laws and Maharashtra Ownership Flats Act.
- Guidance to societies for solving general as well as individual problems.
- Publication of monthly bulletin "Vastu Darshan" containing latest developments, case laws, amendments and updates related to cooperative housing.
- Organizing conferences, seminars and symposiums on important matters related to cooperative housing movement.
- Creating public awareness through press and other media regarding cooperative housing activities.
- Taking up common issues of cooperative housing societies with Government authorities, Municipal Corporations and Local Authorities.
- Organizing "Sahakar Darbar" at different locations in Pune District to resolve problems of cooperative housing societies with guidance from experts and legal advisers.
